“I Couldn’t Have Wished For A Better Dog.”
Maximus is coming along well – he’s extremely alert and easy to teach. He has a fantastic temperament around the kids; he will stay with them all day and follow them wherever they play. What makes him a good watchdog is that he always puts himself between the kids and visitors. He is friendly to those you introduce to him, and watchful of strangers.

“They Truly Are A Family Protector.”
Achilles is 50kg after more than 8 months. He’s weighed and looked over by our vet every 2 weeks.
“His Protective Side Is Really Shining Through.”
If someone comes off the street and into our yard, then he’s prepared and on alert until he’s sure that his family is in no danger:
“He Won’t Leave A Situation Until He Thinks It’s Safe For Us.”
His character is excellent and he loves to interact with other people and other dogs we introduce to him.
He does like to jump around a fair bit, which at his size can be a hassle, but we realize he’s still only a puppy and needs to release his energy.
He responds well to his training but being so young his concentration wanes although he is still learning. They truly are a family protector.
Our two year old son can do all sorts of things to him and he just takes it, no worries. We have found they need lots of love and human contact, which is understandable as they are a very observant breed.

“Narla Is Really Intelligent And Easy To Train.”
Narla at 8 Months
Narla is really intelligent and easy to train. It only took her three short lessons to teach her how to sit and stay. From there she began to pick up on things quicker. We taught her how to stay in the back of the station wagon without jumping over the back seat in 10 minutes and she has never had to be shown again. Many things we have taught her, she has picked up quickly and needs hardly any reinforcing. We live on 20 acres and have our chickens roaming free during the day. The first time Narla came across the chooks, she begun to chase them (for fun). I just yelled sternly, “No Narla!” and she stopped and has never chased them since. She knows they’re our chooks and doesn’t show any interest in them anymore.
“Narla Is Exceptional With Kids, She Is Like A Playmate For My 4 Year Old Daughter.”
They jump on the trampoline together, she literally bounces with my daughter, and when Narla has had enough, she gets off and sits next to the trampoline watching over my daughter. Sophie, (My daughter) likes to play with Narla in her kennel and on occasions she has actually fallen asleep in the kennel with her. Sophie also puts the leash on Narla and drags her around the yard. We have had parties with many children at our home and Narla absolutely has a ball, she loves the attention. Although she gets very excited, she has never bumped into or knocked over a child.
Narla and Sophie Feeding the Chickens
Most of the time Narla sits outside our back door on her mat, calmly waiting for one of us to come outside. And when we are outside she will follow us around, but not in a annoying way. She will follow us around the same way you would hang out with a friend as we do our daily chores. When we leave our unfenced 20 Acre property Narla sits at the house and waits for us to come home. She is the first dog we have owned that has not had to be chained up or put into a pen when we leave the house.
To sum things up, Narla is an easy going dog that is excellent with kids (especially my daughter) and is a pleasure to have around.
